How to remove stubborn coffee stains in carpets
Don't assume all spots or spills are the same. Occasionally you will know what was spilled and sometimes you won't. It can take more than one application to accomplish the best results. We suggest that you never scrub your carpet or use a circular motion for spot removal. You never want to harm the carpet fibres.
Be incredibly gentle and prepared when treating a spot or stain. Don't hurry with the process and generally give yourself enough time. We advise a light flush of the area and extraction with a shop vac or by blotting. Finish up by draping a white cotton cloth over the spot with an appropriate weight of some sort on top. The objective is to keep the pressure on the spot and have the cloth soak up any substance which may rise to the surface during the drying process.
Always test the cleaning solution you pan on using apply to an inconspicuous area prior of the same carpet before applying to the affected area.
Use these household items to treat stains:
- Shop Wet-Dry Vac
- White cotton cloth
- Spray bottle
- White vinegar
Use 1/3 of a cup of vinegar to 2/3 cup of bottled water. This mixture will be applied with a spray bottle to the point of complete saturation. You will continue treatment of the affected area over the course of 2–4 days.
